A man has been charged with recovering £ 1.2 million of drugs in a van in South Lanarkshire.
Agents stopped a Mercedes Benz Sprinter on the M74 northbound near Abington on Thursday at 4:15 PM.
During a search, 30 kilos of cocaine were found.
A 33-year-old man has been arrested and charged with the incident and will appear before the Airdrie Sheriff Court on Friday.
Detective Superintendent Alan O’Brien said, “A recovery of this magnitude demonstrates the hard work that our dedicated agents are doing to eradicate the supply of drugs in our communities.
“This type of behavior will not be tolerated and we are determined to continue to disrupt the supply of drugs across the country.”
