A new scented candle range on sale at a bargain retailer has gone down a storm with customers.
The scented candle jars cost just £2.99 and are apparently meant to be as good, if not “better”, than Yankee Candles.
The Yankee range can cost a lot more, like the black cherry scent at £23.99.
Aldi also sells its own version of the black cherry jar candle for a lot less.
Other scents include coconut, coconut noir and lemon, Daily Star reports.
Some shoppers are claiming the Aldi version smells nicer than the Yankee collection.
The person wrote: “Highly recommend these from Aldi! £2.99 they smell just as good as Yankee Candles. I’m amazed!”
Another added: “I bought the coconut noir and lemon and they are amazing! I’ll never buy Yankee Candles again.”
A third commented: “We’ve got the black cherry one and can smell it all over our house. Can never smell Yankee Candles upstairs.”
And a fourth said: “These are the best smelling candles better smell than Yankee.”
Aldi customers who want to buy more of the scents can pick up a pack of three of the black cherry jar for just £8.97.
According to the product description, the candles “send the scent of black cherry flowing through your home”.
It added: “The coloured wax and flickering flame will create a warming atmosphere for you to relax to with a delicious fruity fragrance.”
The store also sells large luxury scented candles and reed diffusers for under £10.
