Budget supermarket Aldi is recruiting as business booms amid the coronavirus crisis.
The German retailer is on the hunt for new workers as part of a brand-new recruitment programme, both for its in-store operations and head office, reports BirminghamLive.
Regarding career opportunities at its head office the store says on its website: “Here you’ll find over 1,200 super-smart Aldi people sharing a fast-moving, dynamic, open plan environment. We call it our ‘engine room’ because everything that happens here drives the stores side of our business.”
It adds: “We’re talking administration, buying, corporate logistics, corporate responsibility, customer service, eCommerce, IT, marketing and PR, merchandising, HR, property and quality assurance and control.
“Believe us when we say, everything has to be silky smooth and working perfectly. The business depends on the actions and decisions we make.”
Most of the posts are based at the firm’s head office in Atherstone, Warwickshire, but some are at Aldi’s Atlantic House office in nearby Tamworth.
