One woman says a £ 1 Aldi shake helped her lose more than 10th, from a size 22 to an 8/10.
Jackie Burrows of Brisbane, Australia has shrunk from 19 to 9 pounds.
The 54-year-old praised Aldi’s meal replacement shakes as an important part of her dramatic 11-month transformation.
Jackie started her diet and used one of the 205 high-calorie shakes, which come in a variety of flavors, to replace her breakfast.
When she got used to her new plan, she then used a shake to replace her dinner, report The Mirror.
Jackie shared her success and wrote a message on the Aldi MumsFacebook page, swearing, “I’m not going back the way I was.
“I’m not such a fat person anymore.”
Jackie shares her weight loss journey and in October she told everyone that she even thought she ate well and insisted she still managed to lose another stone.
Revealingly, she now has a meal replacement shake for breakfast, while lunch and dinner are salad with chicken or fish.
She has also cut carbs, dairy, red meat, coffee, alcohol, and junk food.
She explained, “Motivation is the key and the will to do something about it – I’ve been dieting all my life.
“I started the shakes on January 28, 2019. I had one for breakfast and one for dinner.
“It was difficult when I started, especially the first week, until my body got used to consuming fewer calories.
“I made salads – mixed salad leaves, capiscum, carrot, cucumber, tomatoes, olives, jalapenos with chicken or fish.
“I have green tea, water, red grapes, butterless popcorn, uncrystallized ginger, dates, and almonds.”
Jackie says she also did an hour of exercise every day for 11 months.
“I now do five hours a week for five days a week and have a weekend off,” she said.
“I’ve changed my lifestyle, I’ve never seen it as a diet – it’s what I had to do.
“I bought clothes that were smaller and forced myself to crawl into them. You must want it badly and I did.
“Now I can buy all the clothes I want. I’m not such a fat person anymore – I was happy but now I’m happier. “
Jackie says she was originally stacked on the pounds after having four children.
“My first children were twin girls, and I brought 30 kg with me in 1993,” she said.
“Then I had my son in 1994 and then another daughter in 1997. During this time, I always put my children first, so I didn’t have time for me.”
But when she got a size 22 and weighed 127 kg, she knew it was time to do something.
She said, “I had never tried diet shakes or programmed weight loss before. I didn’t want to participate in weight loss programs and didn’t want to be noticed as a failure.”
After replacing her breakfast with a shake, she soon began to see results that motivated her to continue.
She added, “I have often posted one [sachet] in my drinking cup / shaker and in my handbag, so I don’t make bad choices when I’m gone.
Jackie said her dramatic loss had been checked by her doctor.
The response to her most was wonderful and she thanked everyone for their kind words and support.
