Geoffrey Palmer, the actor known for his roles in As Time Goes By and The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin, has died aged 93.
Also famous for performances in The Avengers, Fawlty Towers and Doctor Who, Palmer passed away peacefully at home.
His agent confirmed the news this afternoon (November 6).
Palmer is survived by his wife Sally Green, with whom he had a daughter and a son.
He starred in numerous popular sitcoms during his decade-spanning career but is perhaps best known for his role in As Time Goes By with Judi Dench.
The sitcom, about two former lovers who meet later in life after marry, ran on the BBC between 1992 to 2005.
The actors revived their partnership in James Blond blockbuster Tomorrow Never Dies.
He was made an OBE in 2004 for services to drama.
