BJP MLA again loudly demanding the partition of Bengal! Letter to Nadda

After the Ekushey assembly elections, BJP MP and now central leader John Barla first demanded that North Bengal should be made a separate state. This is the demand of the people of North Bengal. The pros and cons of his remarks were then formed. This time Karshiang MLA Vishnu Prasad Sharma demanded a separate state.

He wrote a letter to BJP All India President JP Nadda demanding a separate state for the Gorkhas. Vishnu Prasad Sharma, a BJP MLA from Karshiang, wrote a letter demanding a separate state after John Barla.

He wrote in the letter that the people of North Bengal have been repeatedly deprived. Therefore, when the development of North Bengal is at a standstill, the demand for a separate state is justified for them. The people of North Bengal have the right to make that demand. It is my duty as a public representative to raise that demand. That is why I have raised the demand of the people to the central leadership. The central leadership decided this time.

BJP MP John Barla had earlier announced his personal decision. The party said that it was his personal decision and BJP did not want to share Bengal. Despite knowing the position of the party, the BJP MLA became vocal in demanding the partition of Bengal and wrote a letter. But before him, many in the BJP had demanded a separate state.

Though the BJP leaders expressed personal views in favor of partition, Trinamool Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee rejected the BJP’s demand. Mamata Banerjee said that South Bengal is also in West Bengal and North Bengal is also in West Bengal. I will not tolerate any kind of sharing. If BJP thinks it will sell Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar, Kochbihar, I say not so cheap. I will not allow Bengal to be subjugated.
Meanwhile, not only BJP MPs or MLAs, but also Rajesh Lakra alias Tiger, general secretary of the Trinamool SC-ST cell, openly supported the demand for a separate state. He supported the demand for a separate state by Banshibadan Burman, a leader of the Greater Kochbihar movement. They also met the Chief Minister.
