Black man cries 'I can't breathe' as white cop kneels on his neck and tasers him

A white police officer has been caught on a bodycam video repeatedly taxing a black man screaming he couldn’t breathe.

In the footage, released by Fairfax County police during worldwide protests over a similar incident involving George Floyd, officer Tyler Timberlake uses a stun gun on the confused man who had walked the streets asking for “oxygen.”

Made in Virginia, USA, the video begins with Timberlake and other officers speaking to the unnamed man, who staggers in the middle of a road and looks disoriented.

One says, “Sir? Is it going well? Would you mind getting off the road? ‘

The man, who is not looking good, mutters that he wants to go to the hospital.

“What can I do for you?” asks a paramedic. “Just talk to me about what you need. Do you want to detox? ‘

The man then turns and starts to run away from an ambulance waiting by the side of the road with his back doors open.

At this point, Timberlake zaps him with a stun gun and the man collapses on the floor screaming, “No!”

The man is handcuffed to the ground

Timberlake then kneels on his shoulder and zaps him again with the taser.

The man continues to scream on the floor as blood flows from his right upper arm.

He is then handcuffed when other officers pile up on him.

The man screams desperately that he “cannot breathe” and is told he will be rolled over.

Fairfax Police Chief, Colonel Edwin C. Roessler Jr. said Timberlake demonstrated at a press conference Saturday night a “terrible use of force.”

“The body-worn camera video that I release shows a Fairfax County police officer who uses violence in violation of our use of violence policy, and it is criminal acts that violate our oath of office and ignore the sanctity of human life.” , he said.

The video also affects police confidence, not only through Fairfax County, but around the world.

The victim in this video was treated at a local hospital and released. I thank God through my prayers that he lives and rests with his family at home. I have personally contacted the victim and spoken to his mother to express my disgust at the unacceptable criminal actions of my officer, and have ensured that her justice will be served. “

Timberlake has been arrested and charged with three assaults and allegations and he and other field officers have been released from their duties while the investigation is ongoing.

The video bears a chilling resemblance to the death of George Floyd last month, who also said he “couldn’t breathe” when police officer Derek Chauvin leaned on his neck. Mr. Floyd died shortly afterwards.
