Prime Minister Boris Johnson will hold a press conference Monday evening after outlining the new layered coronavirus restrictions for England.
The prime minister, who is still isolating himself, will participate remotely, with the event expected around 7pm.
England’s Chief Medical Officer, Professor Chris Whitty, and director of the Oxford vaccine group, Professor Andrew Pollard, will also be present at the press conference.
The address comes after Mr Johnson set out the new rules in Parliament at 3:30 pm.
He is expected to announce a return to a three-pronged system in England – with stricter rules to fight the virus.
This will allow all stores to reopen at all levels in England, but poubs and restaurants in Tier Three are expected to close.
Mr. Johnson is also expected to announce some of the plans for Christmas, including a relaxation of lockdown rules.
And there will be an announcement on mass testing and an update on vaccination.
