The production team behind I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here is looking for ways to keep the show on the air this year after the coronavirus pandemic.
According to reports, management has held a number of meetings to come up with a plan to ensure the popular show can continue.
Suggested steps include hiring 95 percent of the production crew in Australia – so people don’t need to be flown in from the UK.
But that would still mean traveling with the hosts and celebrities.
A source told The Sun: “This would mean that many of the show’s British crew miss out on their annual big gig, but ITV should seriously consider each option.
“Due to the changing nature of the crisis, every situation must be assessed and planned.
“It’s such a viewing hit, so they’ll do everything they can to get it on the air.
“But the safety and well-being of their teams is always a priority.”
An ITV spokesperson said it was “too early” to discuss plans.
