'Brit' woman, 21, 'raped at 4am by man who stalked her though Costa Brava park'

A British woman was allegedly tackled to the ground and violently raped while walking through a Costa Brava park at 4am.

Local media reports claimed the expat, 21, was stalked through the park after a night out in tourist hotspot Lloret de Mar.

She managed to fight her attacker off, before being wrestled into submission and brutally raped.

She then called emergency number 112, but fled the park in terror before cops arrived.

But she returned to the Mossos d’Esquadra police station in nearby Blanes the following evening to report the assault.

Investigators are combing through CCTV footage to identify the masked sex beast after she told how he stalked her through the park before bombarding her with sexual innuendos.

A spokesman for the Mossos d’Esquadra police force was unable to comment.

Last year a Brit tourist told of her agony after being raped at the side of a road in Portugal – before being forced to watch her attacker walk free from court.

Kate Juby, 23, waived her right to anonymity to reveal she was brutally assaulted in the Algarve by a man who offered her a lift to the airport after a music festival near Aljezur in April 2017.

Miss Juby, a student at Liverpool John Moores University, fought for justice against her Portuguese attacker.

However, mechanic Tiago Curado de Sousa, 33, received a four-year suspended sentence and was made to pay £1,750 compensation.

Brave Kate told the Sunday Mirror after offering her a lift, Curado de Sousa turned off ten miles into the journey to collect something.

He called for Kate’s help but as she got out of the car he raped her twice.

She said: “I thought I was going to die. I kept saying ‘Please don’t kill me’.

“I said ‘If you do this just please let me go, please don’t murder me.’
