Almost radio silence, it said for the company that holds customers worth billions of dollars XRP.
But today, Coinbase announced that it had turned things around. It should finally support the Spark Airdrop!
“If you are an eligible customer who has an XRP balance with Coinbase or Coinbase Coinbase Pro On December 12, 2020, 00:00 UTC, you will receive Spark tokens from Coinbase at a later time after the start of the Flare network. ” read the cheering announcement on the Coinbase blog posted today.
But Buyers beware, Coinbase customers – there is one final hurdle that could affect your chances of getting the airdrop: regulators.
Coinbase from San Francisco exchangeis obliged to the supervisory authorities, whose dictum determines which Coins Coinbase cannot and cannot list.
Even if Coinbase supports the Airdrop, certain customers may not be eligible to receive the coins.
“Our decision to support an asset requires a thorough technical review and compliance review and may be subject to regulatory approval in some countries. We can therefore not guarantee when or whether Spark will be available for sale in a particular country at this point in time, ”it says.
