The Judicial Crisis Network, a conservative advocacy group, announced on Friday the launch of an ad campaign targeting prominent Democrats as hypocrites for responding to the charge of sexual assault against Joe Biden.
Tara Reade, a former employee of the Senate office in Biden, has claimed she was attacked by Biden in the spring of 1993. The former vice president has firmly denied the allegation.
A large number of national Democrats, many of whom unequivocally believed in the charges against the Supreme Court judge, Brett Kavanaugh, have accepted Biden’s denial. Future vice presidential candidates, Senators Kamala Harris (D., California), Amy Klobuchar (D., Minn.) And Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.), Have all recognized Reade’s right to come forward, but have said to believe biden.
The new ad will play back Democratic politicians’ comments at the Kavanaugh hearings in support of Prosecutor Christine Blasey Ford, in contrast to the muted responses of the same politicians to Reade’s allegations. About Ford, Warren said, “She told a story that was hard to tell;” Harris said, “I believe her. She puts herself out there; Hillary Clinton responded to Ford, “I found her very credible.”
“Kavanaugh’s claim and how it was handled by the left turned out to be the perfect foil to Biden’s claim and a hypocrisy masterclass,” said JCN President Carrie Severino in a statement. “The contrast between the outrage of the Democrats in 2018 and their silence in 2020 could not be greater. In 2020, Joe Biden will now be accused. Gone are the outrage of the Democrats. But the truth from 2018 has remained unchanged: the left is all about politics and power. “
The group’s new ad will appear in several US states, including the Democratic strongholds of California, Massachusetts, and Washington D.C. JCN will also target Alabama and Michigan, where Republicans aim to win Senate seats this fall.
