A disgusting video shows a young girl deliberately putting drops of chilli sauce in her dog’s eyes leaving the poor animal frantically rubbing its face in obvious pain.
Footage shows the girl, wearing a pale blue dress, hold the pooch still with one hand while she uses the other hand to jerk the bottle of chilli into the defenceless animal’s face.
The poor dog, with its eyes burning from the Capsaicin, then burrows its face into the sofa as it tries to rub the stinging liquid away.
Capsaicin is used to make pepper spray and is a painful eye irritant.
The video has been reported to the police by the Spanish political party Animalist Party Against Mistreatment of Animals (PACMA) after it was uploaded on social media by a user who was not named.
When the sick video was slammed by animal lovers the person who uploaded it deleted their copy – but it had already gone viral and been shared online.
The footage is believed to have been filmed in Spain and PACMA has reported the incident to the Civil Guard and National Police, asking them to identify the girl and bring the dog into protection.
PACMA said that they are receiving an increasingly large number of images posted on social media by people who appear to be abusing their pets for “likes” and views.
The political party asked residents to report any animal-abuse clips to the authorities.
It is unclear whether the Spanish authorities are already investigating the released footage.
