The FBI is hunting rapper Casanova, who is said to be part of a gang that killed a 15-year-old.
Casanova, real name Caswell Senior, is accused of being part of the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation Gang.
Law enforcement officials say its members committed “terrible acts” of violence, drug trafficking, and fraud in New York City and the state.
Brandon Soto has been charged with the murder of a teenager in the town of Poughkeepsie, New York, in September.
Robert Woods, another alleged gangster, “chopped” his victim in the face to “maintain and strengthen his position in the Gorilla Stone extortion firm,” said the US Attorney’s Office Southern District of New York.
Officials have arrested 17 Gorilla Stone members but are still looking for 34-year-old Casanova.
He has been charged with conspiracy to extortion, conspiracy to distribute controlled substances and possession of a firearm to promote drug trafficking.
Each of the members faces a life behind bars, except for Shanay Outlaw, whose maximum sentence is 20 years in prison.
The FBI’s Twitter account in New York wrote, “We are still looking for Caswell Senior, aka Casanova, in connection with this case.
“He has connections with both NY and NJ. If you have information about his whereabouts, you can call us at 1-800-CALL-FBI. “
William F. Sweeney, Jr, the deputy director in charge of the FBI’s New York Field Office, added: “As the indictment alleges, the violence and drug activities of these gang members threatened the safety of our communities and brought innocent lives in danger. .
Their blatant criminal behavior, as alleged, included the murder of a 15-year-old and even extended to scam programs aimed at people in economic difficulties due to the pandemic.
“But thanks to the cooperation and hard work of all law enforcement agencies involved in this investigation, we were able to stop this violent criminal organization – and show that Gorilla Stone is actually not ‘untouchable’.”
