“Today is the day I dream of since I got a football in my hand,” he wrote in the post. “This decision was not an easy one. By praying and weighing all the pros and cons, I am confident that I can announce that I will bring my talent to Westwood. ”
With the ability to play on both sides of the ball, the Serra High (Gardena) senior is ranked as the No. 15 athlete in the country by 247Sports.com.
Kirkwood chose UCLA over Arizona State, Notre Dame, Colorado, and California. He is the Bruins’ third commitment in their class of 2021, joining linebacker Devin Aupiu (Pacifica High School, Oxnard) and wide receiver DJ Justice (Bishop Alemany High School, Mission Hills). The class is currently ranked number 6 in the Pac-12 according to 247Sports.
