Gamer sues Twitch for £20m as 'sexual content' has caused 'chafing to his penis'

A gamer is suing streaming site Twitch for $25 million (£20 million) because he masturbated so much over “sexually suggestive women” he ended up allegedly hurting his penis.

Erik Estavillo filed a 56-page lawsuit against the video game platform on June 15 to the County of Santa Clara’s Superior Court in California, the US.

He claims Twitch exposed him to “overly suggestive and sexual content from various female streamers”.

He is said to suffer from obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression, agoraphobia, panic disorder and Crohn’s disease.

The suit claims Erik is following 786 female gamers and has little control over his habits.

It states: “Twitch has extremely exacerbated his condition by displaying many sexually suggestive women streamers through Twitch’s twisted programming and net code making it nearly impossible for the plaintiff to use Twitch without being exposed to such sexually suggestive content.”

Estavillo has sued Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony in the past, but none of the suits have been successful.

He even tried to recruit Depeche Mode and Winona Rider into a case against World of Warcraft.

Another section reads: “The Plaintiff often stays up for hours staring at the breasts of girl streamers, which ends up damaging his retina and making his eyes bloodshot for days; eye drops do nothing to hide his shame from his parents and he is often questioned by people he comes into contact with as to why his eyes are so bloodshot and red – which leads to further embarrassment and isolation.”

The suit also claims that Estavillo ejaculated on his PC monitor, causing a small fire and causing his apartment to black out.

At one point, he bought a Fleshlight sex toy and ended up “chaffing his penis every day with the device”, it is claimed.

Along with the huge damages, Estavillo has also demanded a permanent ban on a raft of female streamers.

Among those mentioned are Amouranth, Quqco, ST Peach, JadeTheJaguar, Pink_Sparkles, Valeria7K, DanielaAzuage_, lilchipmunk, iaaras2.

A Twitch spokesperson told the New York Post: “These claims are frivolous and have absolutely no merit.”

The nudity section of its website states: “We restrict content that involves nudity or is sexual in nature, and are committed to ensuring that Twitch is not used for sexual exploitation or violence.”

It adds: “While we understand that some nudity or sexual content might be intended for educational, scientific, artistic, newsworthy, or academic purposes, we restrict this content due to the diversity in age and cultural backgrounds of our global community.”
