Get paid £25 an hour to delete pictures of people's ex's

A UK retailer is looking for a tech-savvy individual whose sole responsibility will be to remove all traces of an ex-partner from a customer’s phone – getting pia d£25 an hour for the job.

The company is hiring the ‘Phone PA’ to remotely help heartbroken customers organize and wipe phone content they no longer wish to see or have access to.

The role comes after a recent survey by the retailer found that over half (58%) of Brits find clearing their phones of relationship memories the most painful part of a breakup.

The successful candidate will be paid £25 an hour and will receive a free smartphone to carry out the job.

The Big Phone Store, is hiring as part of it’s new ‘EX-terminate’ service’ which helps customers organize and wipe phone content relating to past relationships that they no longer wish to see or have access to.

A further quarter of people say that pictures of an ex on their phone have caused arguments in a following relationship.

The ‘Phone PA’ will work remotely, organizing, cleaning, and removing images, videos, files or messages from a customer’s handset. In order to complete the role customers must give the professional access to their personal files via cloud software such as iCloud or Google Shared, and their social media accounts if they wish for them to EX-terminated too.

The successful candidate will receive a smartphone of their choice, either Android or iPhone, to carry out the job, which they can also use for personal use if they wish. In order to adhere to privacy regulations, the successful candidate must sign a confidentiality waiver and must not keep or share any files they delete while working.

Applicants must be aged 18 or over, have a clean criminal record and have access to a strong Internet connection. No specific qualifications are required for the ‘Phone PA’ role, however the retailer has stated that candidates must be ‘tech savvy’ and confident using mobile devices.

The successful ‘Phone PA’ will be contracted to work up to 10 hours a week, however the retailer has confirmed that this may vary depending on demand. The Big Phone Store will be selecting the successful applicant at the end of September, with hopes of launching the ‘EX-terminate’ service mid-October.
