Girl, 17, 'lured to woods and killed with baseball bat by ex and school pal'

A 17-year-old girl was lured into the woods by her ex-boyfriend and a classmate before beating her to death with a baseball bat, it is said.

Madison Sparrow tragically died on October 2, and an autopsy report showed that her death was the result of blunt trauma to the head.

Her classmate Annika Stalczynski, 17, is charged with plotting the murder of Madison’s ex-boyfriend, Noah Sharp, 19.

The pair are accused of beating Madison to death with a metal baseball bat in the woods behind a Delaware school.

Sharp reportedly said he took Madison to another wooded area where police found her body.

Sharp was arrested three days after Madison’s murder and confessed to killing her with the bat. Yahoo News Reports.

Stalczynski, who had known Madison for some time, has since also been charged with first-degree murder.

District Attorney AJ Roop said, according to Delaware Online, “I believe they were in a relationship that went back several years, I won’t go into much more than that, or what the status was recently, but they were acquaintances, and they knew each other. “

The motive for the crime is unclear and many unanswered questions remain, but investigators hope that the arrests of Stalczynski and Sharp will provide hope for the victim’s family.

Madison was reported missing on the night of her death after not returning home from a day of shopping with a friend.

The next day, a missing person report was issued.

Investigators found the murder weapon, drops of blood and Madison’s clothing in a wooded area, reports said.

Attorney General Kathy Jennings said in a statement, “My heart aches for Madi’s parents, the Sparrow family and the entire Newark Charter community.

“We can never replace what these people have lost, but we can – and will – hold her killers accountable.”

Stalczynski and Sharp are being held on bail.
