A group of hunters saw a huge alligator eating a duck like a scene “straight out of Jurassic Park”.
Cass Couey and Kevin Stipe were hunting ducks by a lake in Leesburg, Florida, USA, when they captured the gigantic 4-meter-high reptile feeding on a pair of unsuspecting ducks on Friday, November 26.
In the images, which have been shared more than 10,000 times on Facebook, the monstrous-looking alligator is seen silently approaching from behind one of the ducks perched on the lake.
The animal’s head protrudes from the water and its tail is visible in the air – before opening its jaws and clamping the duck.
You can hear a man say, “Here we go, number two of the day.
‘Okay, you’re getting food now. Get out of here.’
Cassey wrote, “It’s not just fishing, the Florida duck hunt also has a tax payer! Monster alligator eats duck while hunting.”
He told Fox News, “It was just another day in the swamp for us. But I’m glad people love it.”
The 30-second clip has more than half a million views on social media, shocking people.
WINK TV weather forecaster Matt Devitt shared the video, saying, “This monster comes straight from Jurassic Park. On camera in Leesburg this week!”
One viewer said, “The dinosaurs are making a comeback!”
One man commented, “I’ve lived in Florida all my life until five years ago and never seen one so big. But I know they’re out there! Watch your animal people! Be smart!”
