An influencer and her six-month-old baby were tied and held on a knife in a £ 400,000 robbery after showing off valuables on social media.
So Mei-yan, 25, was undergoing the terrifying ordeal at her Hong Kong home when six men entered.
The robbers also tied up her 45-year-old caregiver as she rummaged through the house at 11 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
After pushing the three into a room, the robbers fled with nearly half a million pounds worth of goods.
Local Chinese media reported that she said she was “shaken up by noise in the living room” and that “when I went out of my bedroom to check it out, there were already three men in my flat.”
A police statement said, “While the doorbell rang, the maid opened the door and three men burst into the unit.”
Mei-yan slept in the master bedroom while her son was with the caregiver in the living room, reports The sun.
When the robbers came in, they rubbed her son’s head, prompting her to tell them to stop and take whatever they wanted.
The three were then tied up with tape and pushed into the room by a robber, who kept watch while the other two searched the site.
However, they grew increasingly frustrated when they couldn’t find money and punched Mei-yan in the face, she says.
She added, “One of them came back and pulled my hair and asked where I put my money.”
Eventually they took luxury items, police said they were taking: “Ten handbags, seven watches, a laptop and two cell phones were stolen in the incident.
“The trek is worth about HK $ 3.6 million.”
The robbers were captured on CCTV cameras and are believed to have planned the attack.
Mei-yan often posts about her valuables on social media, after the robbery she said: “I never hit my son, but [the robbers] dared to beat him. Let’s see what’s going to happen.
“I already gave them everything they wanted, but they still beat me, my helper and my son.”
“The three men are so useless that they can only rob women and children.
“They even hit a six-month-old boy, how shameless are they?”
She also blamed the management company of her building, saying, “I told the guards 10 million times not to let anyone in without my permission.
“But they let these three weird men in caps and masks go upstairs anyway.”
