Jet2 is planning to restart flights to Portugal, Spain, the Balearic and Canary Islands this month.
The tour operator is also planning to resume its package holidays to Croatia from August 31.
It is still flying to Dubrovnik, Split and Pula, but if you’re booked to go before August 30 and no longer wish to travel, you can rebook with no admin fee.
The popular travel firm announced the news today – but warned that that date could change again.
Currently, all travellers returning from Croatia, Spain and the Islands must self-isolate for 14 days.
And the Foreign Office continues to advise against all non-essential travel to these destinations, meaning if travellers book now, they may not be covered by travel insurance.

But Portugal has finally been added to the ‘safe’ travel list – meaning holidaymakers can currently travel there with no restrictions.
But Jet2 is planning to restart flights and package holidays to the following destinations:
- Portugal (Faro) on 24 August
- Balearic Islands on 30 August
- Canary Islands on 30 August
- Mainland Spain on 30 August
- Croatia on 31 August (package holidays)
In a statement, Jet2 said: “Our programme is constantly being reviewed, so some additional changes may occur.
“Where this is the case, we will contact customers directly to discuss options.
“We will be in touch as soon as possible, so we urge affected customers not to contact us.
“We thank you for your patience and understanding at this time.”
Transport Secretary Grant Shapps has said it is unlikely that Spain and France will be re-added to the Government’s travel corridor list anytime soon.
He told LBC: “At the moment I’m afraid France and Spain have both been going the wrong way.
“So just to put numbers on this, we respond when there are about 20 cases per 100,000 of the population measured over a seven-day rolling average. So 20 is the figure to bear in mind.”
He added: “I think that the last that I saw of Spain it was up in the 40s and 50s so a long way off that, and France, who… quarantined from last weekend, I’m afraid to say we were right to do that because we’ve seen the cases continue to carry on up in France as well.
“And in order to put a country back in to the travel corridor, what we say is it needs to stay below that number for a couple of cycles. So a cycle is two weeks long for coronavirus.”
