Prominent journalist Binod Dua passed away on Saturday after a long illness. He eventually contracted the corona virus. On the same day, his daughter Mallika shared the news of her father’s death on social media. For the past one week, he has been admitted to the intensive care unit of a private hospital in Delhi. The funeral of Binod Dua will be held in Delhi on Sunday afternoon.
Binod was a big name in the world of Hindi journalism. After working for Doordarshan, NDTV, etc., he was working on The Wire’s digital platform. Speaking about her father, Mallika said that her father, who came from a refugee colony in Delhi, has been following the path of fearless and honest journalism for four decades.
Binod and his wife Padmavati were both affected by the second wave of corona. Padmavati died last June. Vinod fought for so many days and surrendered to death till the end.
