Live blog: Hawaii Rainbow Warriors football team takes on Boise State Broncos at Aloha Stadium

Tonight, the University of Hawaii’s Rainbow Warriors will face the Boise State Broncos in an otherwise empty Aloha Stadium in Honolulu.

A (one-sided) rivalry continues today when Boise State and Hawaii meet at Aloha Stadium.

The Broncos have won the past eight in this series.

Last week, 14 Broncos were detained – nine for testing positive for COVID-19, five for contact detection.

BSU officials indicated that many will return for tonight’s game, although an exact number has not been announced.

But Hank Bachmeier, who returned last week after being released from isolation, is expected to snap snaps into the Broncos’ multiple, eclectic assault. Despite using four quarterbacks this season and running back without star George Holani for the past 11 quarters, the Broncos average 40 points per game. Their quarterbacks are combined for 65% accuracy.

Three of the Warriors’ first four games were underway. Three of their last four will be at Aloha Stadium. The next three opponents of the Warriors are combined 12-0 in league game.

The kick-off is at 6 p.m.
