Man 'shot dead' by police at George Floyd protest as cops try to clear crowd

A man was reportedly shot dead in a protest by George Floyd in the US when police attempted to clean up a crowd.

The victim was murdered in Louisville, Kentucky at 12:15 local time this morning, according to local media.

An hour earlier, curfew had been imposed on the city after several nights of protests.

Police officers and members of the National Guard attempted to clean up a meeting in a parking lot outside a store when they were shot at, it is said.

They fired back and one person was reportedly killed.

Louisville Metropolitan Police Department chief Steve Conrad said several stakeholders are being interviewed.
