Man wearing medieval costume stabs multiple people in Quebec – public told to stay inside – World News

A major manhunt has been launched after a suspect dressed in medieval clothing stabbed multiple people in an attack in Canada.

The incident happened in the area of Parliament Hill in Quebec City, near the Chateau Frontenac, on Saturday.

The public have been told to stay inside while officers continue to look for the suspect.

A major police deployment has been reported at the scene, with footage on social media showing emergency services rushing to the scene.

Armed officers are also patrolling the area, pictures show.

Emerging reports indicate that at least two people have been seriously injured in the stabbing, according to Canadian security firm Garda.

However, police have not confirmed the exact number of injured people or their condition at the moment.
