A woman slaughtered in an apartment was the granddaughter of a Manson family victim, it turns out.
Mother-of-one Ariana Wolk, 40, whose grandmother was Rosemary LaBianca, was murdered in Denver, Colorado in the US.
Jose Sandoval-Romero, 24, has been charged with murder.
The Denver district attorney’s office said her body was left in a “pool of blood in her bed” after she was stabbed in the neck several times on July 3.
She was pronounced dead on the spot.
A post-mortem found she had several stab wounds to her neck, as well as “apparent defensive stab wounds” to her arms and hands.
Sandoval-Romero was arrested four days later, according to the prosecutor’s office.
He confessed to stabbing her before he fled the scene and dumped his bloodstained clothes.
Investigators said they had found footage from the night of the murder, showing her with Sandoval-Romero holding a clear cup of pink liquid.
The district attorney’s office said, “During his interview with the police, Sandoval-Romero admitted that he stabbed Mrs. Wolk, fled the scene, and threw away his bloody clothes before fleeing to Colorado Springs.”

Grocery store owners Rosemary, 38, and her husband Leno, 44, were murdered in August 1969 by Charles Manson and three of his followers in their Los Angeles home.
