A married teacher allegedly told a teenager he looked “sexy” and asked if he thought her breasts were “too big” as she seduced him for sex, a court heard.
Gaye Lee McKeown allegedly gifted pupils with cigarettes, alcohol and swathes of compliments as she groomed them for illicit affairs in the 1990s.
The then-27-year-old is suspected of having oral and vaginal sex with two 15-year-old boys at the school in Sydney, Australia, over the course of a month more than 20 years ago.
It is alleged the incidents took place at the school and nearby suburbs, including her marital home where she lived with her child, and in a car park.
Then known as Mrs Smith, she was an English teacher and married when she began grooming pupils for sex by flashing her underwear and unbuttoning her shirt.
One of her accusers was allegedly paid almost $30,000 Australian dollars (£16,666) in hush money.
McKeown, now 50, has pleaded not guilty to 21 charges – including several counts of sexual intercourse without consent and indecent assault.
She appeared in court this week wearing glasses and a black blouse, with a shawl around her neck.
Prosecutor David Patch told a jury that McKeown “gradually transformed” academic compliments into flirting.
She is accused of telling one pupil: “Aren’t we a sexy young man today.”
Prosecutors said she also referenced his “hot legs” and “really cute eyes”.
The jury also heard that she asked him to carry books into a storage shed with her, where she is said to have unbuttoned her shirt to reveal her cleavage.
She is also alleged to have asked the teenager: “Do you like my breasts? Do you think they’re too big?”
The jury heard that after noticing he had an erection, she allegedly told the boy it was “normal” and nice to know he found her attractive.
Soon after she allegedly began initiating sex with the boy, with the first time during school hours at the home she shared with her husband and child, News.com.au reports.
She is alleged to have given the boy oral sex whilst saying: “This is so hot.”
On another occasion, she is said to have told the boy “I want to taste you again” before performing a sex act on him.
Prosecutors said she told the pupil to keep the affair quiet to avoid “both being in the s***”.
McKeown admitted to sleeping with the first complainant but claims it was only after he turned 16-years-old and she no longer worked at the school.
Mr Patch said when the boy decided to break it off with the teacher, she allegedly paid him $29,000 (£16,058)to “buy his silence” and the two did not speak again until 2017.
That conversation was allegedly recorded by police and led to McKeown being charged in December of that year.
It is alleged she would grab the boys’ crotches and guide their hands into her vagina as they kissed.
Mr Patch said whether or not the boys were consenting was “irrelevant” as they were underage at the time of the alleged incidents.
McKeown denies any sexual or indecent contact with a second complainant.
