Model almost blinded after adopted dog 'went berserk' and 'destroyed her face'

A model almost lost an eye after her newly adopted rescue dog “went crazy” and attacked her.

Aleksandra Prykowska from Warsaw, Poland, was rushed to the hospital last weekend after her dog Logan bit her.

She adopted the dog from a local animal shelter in Warsaw, Poland a few months ago, and the pair had gotten along well initially.

Aleksandra even shared photos of herself with the dog on long forest walks to Instagram.

But that changed dramatically over the weekend after Logan bit Aleksandra on the face and caused bloody injuries.

She has since decided to return the dog and make the announcement on social media.

In the post, the 2015 L’Oreal model wrote, “ I had an accident and had to make the hardest decision in my life.

“I don’t want to write about the details right now, because the most important thing for me is to protect what’s left for me.”

She continued, “I’m not writing to bother you. I’m living and being looked after. I just can’t work in this current state. There are situations in life that change us forever.”

The model also claimed the shelter hid information about the puppy’s past, but did not mention the center in her post.

Aleksandra said, “I’m afraid someone else could get hurt because Logan destroyed my face, bit me several times, not just me and my neighbor’s daughter, but also the previous owner’s wife, even before he joined the asylum came.

“I’d like to find a behavioral therapist for Logan who will take care of him. You cannot hide such important facts about Logan’s past.

“He’s a great dog, but he needs special professional care.”

Aleksandra defended her decision to return the dog and said, “Logan was very attached to me, he didn’t want to go back to the shelter.

“When I drove to the hospital, I was afraid there would be consequences.

“I didn’t know if Logan would be put to sleep, I remember it used to be. I was silent for the first ten days, not even telling my parents.

“But I couldn’t take care of him with one working eye.

“Specialists told me it could get worse soon. I saw that the dog started to behave differently. After this event he was tense, he did not follow my orders.

“I tried not to show fear, but I live alone, I was afraid.”
