Morrisons has cut rural gasoline to less than £ 1 per liter.
The store has made the switch to help families with the costs of driving as certain industries and some people return to work.
It is the first time that petrol has been sold on the national market for less than £ 1 since February 2016.
Morrisons chief fuel, Ashley Myers, said, “This cut will help people who travel to work, shop for essentials, and help the elderly and vulnerable.
We want to play our full part in lowering the cost of living and feeding the nation in this difficult time. “

The new fuel prices will apply to all Morrison fuel stations starting today, May 11.
How much does Morrisons consume now?
Morrisons brings the price of its lead free to a maximum of 99.7p per liter.
Diesel is cut to £ 104.7p per liter.
For a typical 50-liter refueling, a Morrisons motorist saves £ 4.50 compared to the current national average.
Are all Morrisons participating?
Yes, the new fuel prices apply to all Morrison fuel stations.
