A Center Parcs customer has hit out at the Midlands branch of the popular park resort – claiming she was left ‘starving’ after being served a £10 vegan breakfast.
Jennifer Carr visited the Sherwood Forest park, but was left angry at the state of her eco-friendly brekkie when it arrived at her table after she ordered.
Jennifer received half a cooked tomato, half a slice of toast, one mushroom, two hash browns, beans and four slices of pepper.
Jennifer fumed to The Sun : “I was really quite shocked.
“It was pretty small, so we had to order extra mushrooms, beans and tomatoes on top.”
She added: “When we ordered on the app, it gave us the option of making the vegetarian breakfast vegan so we chose that, but that just meant they removed the egg and the vegetarian sausage and substituted them with four small slices of pepper – not even an extra mushroom.
“I looked at it and thought, I’ve paid ten pounds for this, and we were starving afterwards.”
A spokesperson for Center Parcs said that the breakfast was “clearly not up to our usual high standards”.
They added: “We are in the process of reviewing our vegan offering and will be introducing new dishes very soon.”
Jennifer added how her son received a meaty breakfast – which was substantially bigger, for the same price.
The holidaymaker, who hails from Stirling, in Scotland, was also disappointed during her stay after ordering a vegan dish at the park’s Pancake House.
She claims the dish contained solely raw vegetables inside a crepe.
