STAMFORD, Conn. – NBC’s on-air personalities will receive a pay cut for the rest of the year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
NBC Sports Group president Pete Bevacqua said in a statement that the pay cuts are voluntary.
“Our on-air personalities have reached out to see how they can contribute to our business during this difficult time … It is another reminder of the really great team we have at NBC Sports and how we all work together to bring this immense challenge, ‘said Bevacqua.
The salary cuts range from 5% to 10%.
NBCUniversal executives take 20% pay cuts and those who earn over $ 100,000 see a 3% pay cut.
NBC’s salary cuts are part of an industry trend. Last month, ESPN and Fox asked much of their best on-air talent to make 15% pay cuts through July.
