A randy crooner who said he’d rather die of coronavirus than give up sex has made a full recovery after contracting the deadly illness.
Serbian OAP and singer Andrija Ojdanic, 73, made the bold statement before contracting the virus.
Despite chancing it, he has now fully recovered and been released from hospital.
Earlier this month, the star better known by his stage name Era, revealed that one of his six children was admitted to hospital for 15 days with covid. He then underwent a test which came back positive.
He was treated at the Dragisha Mishovic Hospital before calling the reality show ‘Parovi’ (‘Couples’) where his nephew Urosh is a contestant to announce that he is feeling well again.
During the phone call, Era said: “I have recovered and I am feeling well. I am enjoying my nephew’s behaviour (on the show), but you need to be careful with hygiene. A lot of young women are waiting for you to leave the show…”
Era, who has referred to himself as a ‘womaniser’ in the past, told local media: “I can only see young women from my hospital window and I whistle down to them.
“I wear glasses so I can see how the jeans fit them and who has the best boobs.
“I tell my roommates which women have natural long hair and who has extensions. I miss all that.”
In March, the saucy vocalist posted a snap of him wearing a face mask with the message: “Better to die of coronavirus than not have good sex in three months.”
Weeks later, Era tested positive and he revealed: “I don’t have any symptoms, I am not in discomfort and I am not coughing or sneezing. I’ve had a high temperature for the last couple of days, but now I feel fine.
“Doctors did an X-ray on my lungs and everything looks good.”
The singer also entertained the medical team in the hospital by crooning some of his beloved hits.
Era has been involved in the music industry since 1973. In 2008, he took part in the reality show ‘Big Brother VIP’.
He followed up his Big Brother outing with an appearance on the reality shows ‘Farm’ in 2013 and ‘Couples’ in 2015.
