Pizza Hut Now Accepts Bitcoin, Ethereum in Venezuela

The Venezuelan branch of the large American restaurant chain Pizza Hut has teamed up with the crypto-focused company Cryptobuyer to offer its customers the option of paying with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

“We come with good news! We continue to grow and work to expand your payment options in cryptocurrencies. We are pleased to announce our latest alliance with Pizza Hut Venezuela. From today you can share with your family and pay with Bitcoin, XPT, Dash and CryptobuyerPay, ”Cryptobuyer announced on November 27th.

The company’s POS (Point-of-Sale) solution – Cryptobuyer Pay – currently supports payments with Bitcoin, Binance Coin, Dash, DAI, Ethereum, Litecoin, Tether and XPT (Cryptobuyers own tokens).

“Today, the use of technology has become so important to people who have devices in their daily lives. It is important that we accompany them, young people, contemporary adults or people with technological knowledge, ”Richard ElKhouri, Head of Pizza Hut Venezuela, told the local outlet The axiom.

“Pizza Hut today can no longer be separated from these technological advances and all the incorporations of new approaches or daily life,” he added.

Cryptobuyer was founded in 2015 and focuses on Latin America. The company offers services such as payment solutions for digital currencies, crypto ATMs and POS terminals. Reports indicate that over 40,000 companies in Latin America are already using the company’s services, including the local offices of Burger King, Samsung and Intercontinental Hotels and Traki – the largest retail chain in Venezuela.
