Pregnant stray cat walks into hospital to find safe place to give birth

A clever stray cat chose the right place when it walked into a hospital looking for a safe place to give birth to her kittens.

Healthcare workers reported seeing the pregnant cat wandering into the private hospital in the Turkish city of Bolu on November 4.

Footage from the hospital shows vets loading the clearly distressed cat into a cage.

According to national newspaper Haber, the black and white feline was transported from the human hospital to the Wildlife and Rehabilitation Centre, where she gave birth soon after.

The mother cat and her three kittens are all doing well.

It is not clear what will happen to the feline and her kittens now, but it is believed the animal shelter will attempt to find homes for them.

Amazingly, it is not the first time a quick-thinking feline has strolled into a hospital hoping for help.

Back in May, a worried cat walked into A&E and dropped her sick kitten at the feet of medics.

While doctors worked in checking the kitten over, the mother cat remained alert below their feet.

Patient Merve Ozcan was waiting in accident and emergency when she took the pictures on her mobile phone and posted them online.

Meanwhile, another clever stray cat was filmed in April leading a local into a shop before “telling her which food he wants”.

The feline, which was named Rabbit, was later adopted by the shopper after they discovered he was alone and fending for himself.
