A pregnant teen was found murdered with her heart and intestines ripped out after visiting her boyfriend.
Snegugu Linda, 19, told her family she would return home on November 15, but an alarm was raised when she did not return.
On Sunday, her body was found dumped on a path near Hammersdale, in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa.
Snegugu’s organs were found next to her and had been stabbed to her back and abdomen, police said.
Her devastated mother Londiwe Linda, 33, said a cloth – a cloth used for traditional head coverings – had been placed over her mouth.
“She was thrown there. Nothing says she was killed there, ”she told the local newspaper IOL.
“Snegugu was still young and had more to do in life than die like that. We want to know who did this. “
Her mother revealed that her daughter had a stab wound to her hand when she last saw her alive two weeks ago.
The teenager left the house before her mother could learn more about the incident.
Captain Nqobile Gwale, who led the investigation, said the motive for the crime was still unknown.
Snegugu’s friend, Sibusiso Hlela, said his partner left on Saturday afternoon to visit a friend on Saturday afternoon and did not return that evening.
He said he was told she was stabbed when he went looking for her again at 5:30 am.
A murder investigation has now started, but no arrests have been made yet.
