Actor Ricky Schroder is said to have contributed $ 150,000 towards the $ 2 million bail of alleged murderer Kyle Rittenhouse.
The NYPD Blue star’s donation to the fund came after one of Rittenhouse’s attorneys, Lin Wood, tweeted a triumphant photo Friday featuring attorney John Pierce, Rittenhouse and Schroder shortly after Kyle was released from custody, TMZ reports .
“FINALLY FREE!!!” he wrote, while Wood previously thanked Schroder in a tweet, writing, “Special thanks to actor Ricky Schroder … & Mike Lindell @realMikeLindell for putting us over the top.”
Lindell is the founder and CEO of MyPillow, and a staunch supporter of President Donald Trump.
Rittenhouse, 17, reportedly shot three protesters after traveling with an AR-15 rifle from Antioch, Illinois, to Kenosha, Wisconsin on Aug. 25, while the town was engulfed in civil unrest following a previous shooting by a police officer. Kenosha left Jacob Blake paralyzed.
