Ryanair extends Covid-19 flight changes deal into new year

No-nonsense airline Ryanair is expanding its offer to waive flight change fees in the new year.

Offer applies to bookings made in December and January with passengers with no change fees until September 30, 2021.

Changes must be made at least seven days before the departure date of the original booking.

The airline said it wants to provide “peace of mind” when passengers’ travel plans change, and stated that it wanted to provide flexibility and restore customer confidence.

Marketing and Digital Director Dara Brady said, “Plans change, so in order to provide our customers with maximum flexibility and confidence, we have extended the waiver of our flight change fee for all December and January bookings.

“Customers can confidently book trips for Christmas, Easter and summer, knowing that if they have to postpone their travel plans, they can move with no change fees.

“Customers can now plan to see families for Christmas, or book Easter / Summer vacations, knowing that if plans change, they can reschedule their flights without additional change fees.”

The unchanged fee originally applied to bookings made after June 10 for travel in July, August, September, October, November and now December and January.

Any rate difference is still applied.

Changes made to bookings posted as part of the sales promotion of one million flights in September will still be charged.
