I’m a celebrity … Get me out of here star Shane Richie has dismissed rumors of a rift between him and fellow camp mate AJ Pritchard.
The actor and comedian, 56, said he shared some “great chats” with the former Strictly Come Dancing professional, 26.
And revealed that he would have been proud to have him as a son.
The pair argued over the dishes at the camp, with Pritchard suggesting the former EastEnders actor wasn’t working.
The pair eventually settled their dispute, and Pritchard offered to teach him a one-on-one dance class.
After becoming the last contestant to be kicked out of the castle ahead of Friday’s final on ITV, Richie said he didn’t understand the rumors.
He said, “I don’t get it. I didn’t see what they thought they saw. Me and AJ, we did a trial together and when I was camp leader and he wanted to do another one, I said,” AJ mate, you wanna do it? You will be brilliant there. “
‘I used to talk to him about,’ I would be so proud of you ‘because I have two boys. I remember saying, “I would be proud to have you as my son.”
“We’ve had great conversations, so I don’t know where that came from.”
Richie also aired the idea, suggested by some viewers on social media, that he had been a bully to his camp mates.
He said, “That’s just bullshit. Look, if we’re going to start on social media, Trump will earn another four years.”
Richie, who was taken out on Thursday night, said he’d been craving salt since he returned home.
“I put salt in my tea, I put salt in everything so I could taste salt again. It’s just crazy,” he said.
The actor lost more than a stone during his nearly three weeks on the show.
He said, “I found out last night. Just under a rock. How good is that?
“I had bigger breasts than the woman. I had to try to lose a few pounds and I did.”
TV host Vernon Kay, radio DJ Jordan North and podcast presenter Giovanna Fletcher will compete in Friday’s finale to discover who is to be called the first king or queen of the castle.
