A teenage boy has gone on the run shortly before he was due to be quizzed by cops after the body of 14-year-old girl was found semi-naked inside a plastic bag in his house where he hosted a party.
Police used the girl’s mobile phone to track her last movements and when it indicated that she had never left the house they searched the property.
The victim, identified as Ludmila Pretti, 14, went with two friends to the house party near her from her home on September 5.
Her worried parents reported her missing when she did not return home.
Police found her body in one of the rooms hidden under two mattresses in in the town of Francisco Alvarez, in the northeastern Argentinian province of Buenos Aires.
National newspaper Cronica reported she died from asphyxia.
Detectives suspect the victim was strangled with the pashmina she was wearing during the party.
Police quizzed revellers but a young man identified as Cristian Jerez, 19, the party organiser, fled before testifying.
The young woman’s father, Leandro Pretti, said several teens at the party said “they all left and the girl was left alone with him.”
Leandro Pretti said: “There are locals who said that this guy was used to threatening girls.”
The country’s Judicial Police have issued a warrant for Cristian Jerez for alleged femicide.
He went missing since Sunday.
