One of the UK’s largest supermarkets has issued an important message to every Clubcard user today.
Tesco has said it will be adding a new way to authenticate your account in order to keep your personal details safe.
The new authentication measure means that a one-time passcode sent to your mobile number to ensure that your mobile number will be linked to your account to make sure it is as safe as possible and safe from any hackers.
The message reads: “We know that your Clubcard number is hard to remember, and we’re always looking for ways to best protect your account. So we’re adding a safe and easy way to authenticate your account with a one-time passcode sent to your mobile number.
“To make sure you can always access your Tesco account, please ensure your mobile number is up to date. Just head to the personal details page to check it. Remember to have your Clubcard to hand – while we’re moving to the new authentication system, you’ll need it to make any changes.
Don’t worry, nothing else is changing with your account – your preferences won’t change, and your data will remain secure.
“Thanks for helping us keep your Tesco account safe.”
This comes after people have been going crazy over a new 40p Tesco product that has just hit its shelves.
