UCLA picked up its second soccer committee in three days with the backsliding of Deshun Murrell who announced his commitment to the program on Wednesday morning.
Murrell is the eighth commit of UCLA’s class of 2021, following receiver Ezavier Staples’ commitment on Monday.
Murrell confirmed his decision to join UCLA via a video on Twitter.

Murrell, 5-11 and 185 pounds, chose UCLA over offers from Duke, Wake Forest, Northwestern, West Virginia, Virginia Tech, and California. According to 247Sports, he registered 2,275 yards and 34 touchdowns as a junior in high school.
Murrell is from Centerville, Alabama and is ranked 247Sports.com as a three-star recruit and as the number 32 recruit in the state of Alabama. He is the first to drop back to commit to the Bruins class of 2021, which is national number 4 in the Pac-12 and number 54.
