UCLA’s Chris Smith withdraws name from NBA Draft

The gang is getting back together for the UCLA men’s basketball team for the 2020-21 season.

Guard Chris Smith has withdrawn his name from the NBA Draft and is returning to UCLA, CBS Sports reported on Monday, the last day that draft prospects could return to their colleges.

Smith won the Pac-12’s Most Improved Player award last season. He led the Bruins in scoring with 13.1 points per game, while adding 5.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.0 steals.

With Smith back for his senior season, UCLA has all five starters returning from last year’s team that finished second in the Pac-12 in Mick Cronin’s first year as head coach. The Bruins also added Kentucky guard transfer Johnny Juzang and Etiwanda shooting guard Jaylen Clark this off-season.
