UNC men’s hoops matchup at Arizona canceled due to COVID-19

Sorry, Bears fans, the men’s basketball season opener will be delayed a little longer.

The University of Northern Colorado announced on Wednesday that the game against Arizona will not take place in Tucson.

UNC suspended men’s basketball activities last week due to a positive COVID-19 test. The team practiced quarantine and contact tracking protocols.

No additional details were provided in the announcement.

The Bears already missed their first two games, scheduled for November 27 and November 28, due to the upside.

In anticipation of even more positive things, UNC is scheduled to play in Colorado State on Saturday, December 12. The Rams are too under quarantine protocols due to two cases of coronavirus. They are expected to open their season against CU this weekend.
