US election: Bakery whose cookies predicted the last three elections forecasts Trump win

A bakery whose cookies predicted the outcome of the last three elections has now forecasted Donald Trump’s win.

The Lochel’s Bakery cookie poll has correctly predicted the results of the last three races, and according to the survey, the Republican leader may just be set for a second term.

As of Tuesday the Pennsylvania based bakery sold 31,804 “Trump 2020” red and white cookies, compared to just 5,750 blue and white cookies representing Joe Biden.

The final tally was announced on Facebook Live.

Owner Kathleen Lochel and her husband decided to announce the final count on the social media platform after voting.

Before the much-awaited reveal, Ms Lochel said: “I can tell you that both candidates have climbed significantly since Sunday night—significantly.”

“Even more so than my husband or I ever would have called,” she added.

The winner was announced with a final tally of 37, 554 cookies sold overall.
