A man who was unable to get to his favorite Wetherspoons before his 21st birthday had his girlfriend build a replica in his house.
The stripped Danny Lake couldn’t go for a beer at his local boozer The Dockle Farmhouse due to his closure.
So 19-year-old Elise Richardson transformed his dining room into the ‘Spoons’ instead – and even bought the same carpet.
The couple currently lives with his parents in Highworth, Wiltshire.
Elise put the fake Wetherspoons together with the help of her friend’s relatives.
She also made personalized paper plates while his uncle made a replica plate to hang over the door.

Lucky Danny received a handmade burger cake with sides earlier this week on his birthday to finish his Wetherspoons meal.
Elise even made sure Danny enjoyed bottomless drinks – including drinks – that were included in the ‘price’ of his meal.
She said, “It was 21 and we knew he couldn’t get out.

“We asked him what he wanted to do and he said he really wanted to go to a Wetherspoons.
“But me and his parents, why don’t we throw him a Wetherspoons party, things will get out of hand.
“The first thing we did was try the paper plates, we tried as hard as possible to find real Wetherspoons plates, but we couldn’t find them anywhere.

“But I found a company online where you could personalize paper plates, so I got a picture of the plate online and then made it myself.
“Dan’s uncle managed to make the Wetherspoons sign outside and sent it to us which is great.
“It will be there forever.

“We got the background and the carpet from a print shop and everything else we just bought online.
“Even his nan said she wouldn’t know he wasn’t there.”
Danny said, “I was speechless. I mentioned joking at Wetherspoons as a joke, but I didn’t think they would take it seriously.
“I thought it was funny, but I couldn’t really believe they had put in so much effort. I am sure I will go back to the Dockle after closing.
“It’ll probably be a little weird going out and it looks the same, but I’m pretty sure even the Dockle at home can’t beat my Wetherspoons.”
