A woman has undergone a dramatic transformation after losing 14 stone and having a skin operation.
Simone Anderson, from Auckland, New Zealand, weighed 26.5st before deciding to make a change in 2014.
She had gastric sleeve surgery, which she claims was ‘saved her life’, and underwent a skin removal operation.
The 29-year-old motivational speaker said: “Gastric sleeve surgery saved my life, I don’t believe I would be alive today without this life changing surgery.
“It gave me the tools to reinvent my eating and take a good hard look at my exercise habits.”
She added that her six-year transformation, which has also included lip and facial fillers, has been ‘surreal’.
Simone underwent a nine-hour operation, involving a tummy tuck and a boob lift, to remove excess skin which accumulated after shedding 14st.
The author has described how she would struggle to walk up the driveway before her weight loss.
Her diet was based on fast food, leaving her exhausted after just a short walk.
However, she is now living a healthy lifestyle after taking up fitness and adopting a balanced diet, the Sun reports.
Although she has always felt confident, Simone now feels reassured that she will live a long life.
She added: “My weight never defined me as a person, I was still the same bubbly, outgoing, driven and organised Simone but it definitely limited the life I could live.”
The fitness fanatic said her ‘life-changing’ gastric sleeve surgery did not do the ‘hard work’ for her, although it did give her a ‘fresh slate’, enabling her to make long term changes.
