Woman with £11,000 a year fast food habit loses six stone in lockdown

A 24-year-old woman who grew up to 18stone after spending £ 30 a day on fast food and takeaways has lost nearly six stone after deciding to shut down her life.

Poppy Stainsby, 24, spent £ 10,950 a year on fast food and pizza, struggling to try on size 20 clothes.

Poppy told me Star: “I have transformed my lifestyle. I cook tasty meals such as salmon and rice, and exercise.

“I used to get sore feet and got out of breath just shopping. Now I take long walks and bike rides. “

Poppy decided to start losing weight after back pain early this year. The lockdown meant she could exercise at home twice a day and go for a walk in the evenings after working from home.

Instead of commuting, she taught herself how to cook healthy food from recipe books.

She now cooks her own meals instead of reaching for takeaways and deliveries of fast food, burgers and pizzas.

Poppy said, “I’m really cooking now.

“I feel like the best version of myself.”
