Women 'behind brutal raping and killing of wrongly suspected paedophile'

A trio of women are alleged to be behind the vigilante killing of a man wrongly suspected of being a paedophile.

Truck driver Dmitry Chikvarkin died from horrific head injuries after the brutal attack.

The 48-year-old, who ran his own lorry business, was impaled with a metal pipe before being bashed to death in Verkhnyaya Pyshma, in Russia’s Sverdlovsk region.

Two of the three alleged female killers remain on the run, as does a man who is suspected of participating in the attack, police have said.

The horrific events began to unfold when a ten-year-old girl said that, along with a three-year-old, she had been “touched below the waist” by Chikvarkin.

Law enforcement have said that the allegations were not true.

Valeria Dunaeva, 25, and Alina Mikhailova, 29, believed the claim and organised a revenge attack, according to the police.

A law enforcement source told Znak newspaper: “First, he was raped in the anus with a metal pipe.

“Then they smashed his head with the same pipe, breaking his skull.”

Dunaeva has been detained as the ringleader of the attack.

Two other women are being sought including Mikhailov.

Tributes have been left in memory of Chikvarkin

Her ex-husband Sergey Chabin, 33 – who is Dunaeva’s lover – has also been detained.

The third woman suspected of involvement in the attack has not been named.

A report by Komsomolskaya Pravda claimed Dunaeva, Mikhailova and male suspect Mikhail Ivanova, 27, were the main attackers.

The other woman and two males were the “support team”.

A former colleague of Chikvarkin, who was a former police driver, told E1: “He came to the police after serving in the army.

Alina Mikhailova is currently sought by police

“He was young and handsome, and got a job in the duty unit as a driver….

“He was a brave, fearless man…

“He always helped us detain criminals.

“We caught murderers, robbers, rapists – all sorts of criminals.”

Chikvarkin leaves behind a six-year-old daughter.

The scene of the killing

A friend told Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper: “He just wanted to help by giving the kids a lift, but he was killed. He would never harm children.”

His father Nikolay, 74, has lost his wife, daughter and now son in separate tragedies.

Those detained and on the run face charges of ‘killing an innocent man’ with ‘particular cruelty’ in a violent sexual attack.

The men face possible life sentences and the women up to 20 years in prison.
