You could get £120 to spend at Christmas with simple credit card trick

Anyone looking to make a little extra cash ahead of Christmas could take advantage of a simple credit card deal that will hand you free money.

MoneySavingExpert has collated a number of credit card deals that could hand you vouchers in time for the festive season.

They say as long as you only spend what you would have spent anyway, and you pay off your bill fully each month, the deals are worth considering.

One deal could earn you £120 in Nectar points over the next three months – which you could then spend at Argos or Sainsbury’s as well as on eBay.

According to MSE the Amex Nectar card will give you 20,000 Nectar points if you spend £2,000 on the card within three months – on top of the usual two points per pound.

That would equate to £120 to spend by the end of the year.

You could also go for the Amex Preferred Rewards Gold Card which will give you 10,000 points for spending £3,000 in three months – which would equate to a £50 voucher to spend at places including Amazon, Ikea and M&S.

The Sainsbury’s Mastercard could earn you £37.,50 in Nectar points, while the M&S Mastercard could earn you £25 in vouchers.

Full details of the schemes are available at MoneySavingExpert.
